Quebec City (above) is internationally known for its narrow cobble-stoned streets and ancient greystone buildings, many of which date to the early 1600’s. It is the only walled city in North America, and though conspicuously European in its look and feel, it is at the same time, uniquely Canadian.
Why Learn French? "To be acquainted with the French tongue is become a part of polite education and, to a man who has any idea of mixing in a large circle, absolutely necessary." George Washington (in a letter writen in 1771 to the headmaster of the school where his stepson, Jacky Custis, was enrolled). We can't help but agree!
VISIT CANADA has welcomed tens of thousands of French students and their teachers to Québec City (the cradle of French civilization in North America) since 1985, and today we think of our three- and four-day Québec City trips as our signature programs.
Each of these trips to Québec City is lots of fun, but any VISIT CANADA tour is, first and foremost, an educational experience.
Each of our itineraries provides ample time for students to read, listen to, and speak French with native francophones from the moment they arrive at the airport or train station. For groups arriving by bus, the experience begins at the Québec border where signage is in English and French, but English quickly disappears in interior Québec where English signs are rare, and all signs, by law, must be predominantly French. And, our experienced, bilingual, native francophone guides will be happy to conduct your trip in all French, all English or any combination of the two.
Students quickly learn that they are able to understand French spoken in the real world, by persons other than their teachers. This validates and reinforces what they have been learning at school and teaches the students that the study of French is a practical tool, and much more than just an academic exercise.
We offer French trips and Performance tours to Québec City (some in conjunction with trips to Montréal) in the summer, fall, winter and spring.
All trips are priced in advance with the ability to customize the itinerary to accommodate each group's goals.
Prices range generally from about $559 for a three-day motorcoach trip and from about $839 for a four-day trip and roughly $1525 for a 3-day trip and $1525 for groups traveling by air.
For schools traveling to Montreal and Quebec City by motorcoach, prices depend, more than anything else, upon bus charter costs from your school parking lot, and the number of students sharing those costs (and those prices go up and down as the number of paid participants go down and up).
Our prices include the following: transportation by chartered motorcoach, very nice hotel accommodations, breakfasts and dinners daily, comprehensive trip cancellation and medical insurance, all admissions, the services of licensed professional guides throughout each day, and dedicated security guards in the hotels overnight for groups of 20 or more.
There are never any registration or enrollment fees, and no hidden charges.
Your trip your own, and unless you arrange to travel with another nearby school (which we are happy to facilitate), we do not combine groups. Each trip unique and priced accordingly.

Frequently, the fastest and best way to begin planning a trip (especially for a group leader who is new to VISIT CANADA or planning to travel by air) is on the basis a brief telephone conversation to discuss the group's particular needs and interests from the many, many itinerary options available.
We always enjoy talking with our clients, and we're sure that you will find that a brief telephone conversation is a time-saver, and well worth the effort in the long run. If you are new to VISIT CANADA, or planning a long (more than three-day) trip, we would prefer to talk with you about your options early in the trip-planning phase but we will respond by email. If you are planning your first trip, by air, we will need to talk with you very early in the planning and we ask that you contact us initially by telephone.
We sincerely believe that our tour programs (as well as the advice we give our clients) are the very best available anywhere in the industry, and that your students and children will learn more about the world and its ways while on a VISIT CANADA field trip than during any other three to five days of the school year. We welcome the opportunity to demonstrate that to you.
