Where History Meets Winter Magic

Day 1: Arrival & Frozen River Crossing

7:00 AM: Depart school aboard your luxury motorcoach, watching the landscape transform into a winter wonderland as you journey north to Québec.

2:15 PM: Arrive in Lévis, where your adventure begins with a ferry ride across the frozen St. Lawrence River. The ice crackles beneath you as Québec City’s skyline – dominated by the majestic Château Frontenac – comes into view.

2:45 PM: Step onto the cobblestone streets of Lower Town (Basse-Ville), where your guide brings history to life. The funicular ride to Upper Town offers breathtaking views of the ice-choked river below.

6:30 PM: Dinner at Restaurant L’Entrecote St Jean transports you to 18th-century New France, with its ancient stone walls and hand-hewn beams. The steak frites (and other selections) will have your students immersed in local cuisine.

7:45 PM: At the Martello Tower, students are lead in an interactive workshop The Soldat de La Tour where they learn of the life of a soldier after the British Conquest . Stand where General Wolfe and Montcalm fought for North America’s future.

Day 2: Ice Palaces & Sugar Shack Delights

7:30 AM: Breakfast at Café Les Mordus fuels you for the day ahead. The scent of buttery croissants and strong Québecois coffee mixes with the crisp winter air.

9:00 AM: The Hôtel de Glace (Ice Hotel) takes your breath away. Marvel at:
18-foot ice ceilings glowing blue in the winter light
• An ice chapel where couples actually marry
• The ice bar where drinks are served in glasses made of… ice!

1:00 PM: At Village Vacances, winter thrills await:
Tornado tubing with friends (screams guaranteed!)
42 different slides and winter activities
2.5 km skating trail through snow-laden pines

6:00 PM: The evening crescendos at Cabane à Pierre sugar shack:
All-you-can-eat feast of pea soup, ham, and sugar pie
Traditional folk music and dancing
• The grand finale: tire sur la neige (hot maple syrup poured on snow)

Day 3: Dog Sleds & Farewell to Winter

6:30 AM: Early wake-up for today’s dog sledding adventure! Dress in your warmest layers – it’s about to get windy!

7:00 AM: Breakfast at Le Cochon Dingue (“The Crazy Pig”) in Petit Champlain, North America’s oldest neighborhood. The maple-cured bacon and fluffy omelets provide perfect fuel.

8:30 AM: Meet your team of huskies in Saint-Nicolas. Learn commands:
• “Marche!” (Go!)
• “Gauche!” (Left!)
• “Whoa!” (Stop!)

9:00 AM: Mush your own team through 20 km of pristine winter wilderness, the dogs’ breath fogging the crisp air as you glide past frozen streams and snow-laden pines.

12:30 PM: Stop for lunch in Drummondville, where you can try authentic poutine (fries with cheese curds and gravy) before the final leg home.
