Hotel is in a great location. Rooms might be slightly spartan but the views of the lake are outstanding. The bathrooms are roomy and the motion activated shower light is a great night light. Pillows could have been a little more supportive. Pool had a steam room right beside it which made for a relaxing swim. Views of the city from the pool were also great. Would love to check out the roof top patio. Lounge had great snacks and food but the breakfast was a little greasy and repetitive
I have never stayed in a hotel room before where there was no carpet. The room was clean, modern, bright and pretty spacious a d had no carpet which made it feel even larger. Our room had a big shower , no bath. Had all the amenities we needed. The request for extra towels was met straight away. Great location. We did not eat in the restaurant in the hotel but friends did and said it was lovely. We were woken at 4.30am by the fire alarm so we know it works!! Impressed with the speaker attachment which kept giving us updates and information. Turned out it was a false alarm.
This was our second stay at the Delta downtown the 1st stay did not go so well however they won me over with this stay. We were in Toronto for a Maple Leaf's game we used the valet parking which could not be easier, the 2 attendants were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. no issues parking our truck. Check in for us was around 330 this time no issues , about a 5 minute wait and our room was ready. We headed upstairs and settled in. I do not like the glass frosted bathroom door, its a bit awkward being able to see someone using the toilet even blurred out. The toilet was right next to the one bed which was noisy in the night as the bathroom had a sliding door. Much preferred our room last time as the door was in the hallway and private. This time we had a tub/shower combo. The shower was brutal as there was no tilt to the shower head making it go straight out all over the wall and hard to wash with I had to hold it in my hand. The view was amazing we had a lake, Ripley's aquarium view. The bed was very comfy, requested 2 extra blankets which were brought immediately. We had dinner in the onsite restaurant I did not find the menu very appealing no pasta etc. so settled for a burger which was delicious my adult daughter asked for a kids menu which they complied and she found chicken fingers. There are many restaurants across the street and a Tim Hortons and other options in the PATH tunnel. This time they actually had the PATH tunnel marked in the elevator and it was easy to find, it was a 5 minute walk to the Scotiabank arena. Definitely my go to hotel for Toronto Downtown.
Everything about my birthday stay at the Delta Toronto was perfect! My special thank you goes out to Guest Experience Expert Raylin Sales who checked us in/out and made sure, I had a great birthday! Especially the room with special focus on the corner bathroom which offered spectacular views of both the harbourfront as well as the Skydome ("Rogers Centre") and the CN Tower. The bottle of Prosecco and the birthday treat I pre-ordered arrived on time and any special requests (plate, extra pillows) were met promptly. The club lounge offered not only great views but also a nice breakfast buffet with everything from fresh fruit to scrambled eggs. I would have added photos but they did not meet the file format! Thank you all at Delta Toronto for making this birthday extra special!
We stayed at the Delta for 3 nights to see a concert at Rogers Centre. Great location for what we wanted. The club lounge is cramped but the good was fine and the view of the CN tower was great. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Overall a great stay but the lounge could be better. I prefer the Sheraton lounge but the location of the Delta is better so we are already booked to go back for our next concert.
Lovely clean modern hotel with everything you may require for a friends getaway. As friends we stayed in separate rooms, booked harbour view and also called in advance to ensure we reserved adjoining rooms, which was assured. However on arrival found the type of room, meaning with a view, was not available in adjoining at this hotel location. Very disappointing and after much discussion, was given rooms next to each other but not adjoining. It all worked out. The rate included breakfast which was served in one of their meeting rooms as all the restaurants are under construction. This all turned out just fine as an extensive buffet was offered including very attentive staff with lots of additional service. We used the gym which was staffed and offered lots of towels, drinks, and equipment. Concierge was efficient in getting us the any transportation requested for us to get around the city. Would definitely recommend this hotel and location, despite the minor announce of not getting adjoins rooms. Best to call the hotel directly.
This was the perfect stay. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed including a mini fridge, toiletries and a coffee bar. The hotel is conveniently located to the train station and walkable to the sights we wanted to visit as well as places to eat and a grocery store.
Very nice hotel. Modern and nice staff. Only really two issues: (1) Breakfast a bit over-priced for what you get. Really just a step above a continental breakfast; (2) Elevators very, very slow. Not well designed. But great location, if ok with the mitigating issues above.
This is probably my go-to hotel Downtown Toronto - it's convenient, generally clean and people in the restaurant, Club Lounge, etc are very good. Having said that, the hotel does some things on occasion that leave guests scratching their heads. On this trip, I received 3 separate emails pre-stay that outlined the typical pre-stay considerations - Amenities, local attractions, 'check-in now!' kind of stuff. These are normal with Marriott. At no time, however, did they indicate the restaurant on-site is now closed for renovations. Maybe that information changes plans for a guest, maybe not, but at least tell people as a courtesy. As it is, the restaurant will be closed through March (plan accordingly if you are traveling), and they are offering very basic food through the whiskey bar. No burgers, pizza or pasta; just food that can be reheated - very limited menu. It's easy enough to walk across the street. There are some good dining options nearby. Safe travels...
Perfect location for Scotiabank arena/rogers centreStayed twice in November, first 3 days, then again 1 day for Toronto sightseeing visit and scotiabank concerts and basketball.Location was main reason we chose - within 5/10 mins walk to scotiabank arena, rogers centre, union station, aquarium, CN tower. Room was good, paid extra for the view of CN tower as likely only visit to toronto, and it was nice view especially lit up and night, but not really sure worth it. Room amenities were fine, everything youd expect for a 4*, and very happy. Restaurant was good, and breakfast buffet delivered without being spectactular. Few things ran out too frequently e.g. bread slices with slow restock but staff were quick when asked. Would stay again for the location. Nice coffeeshop opposite - Aroma Espresso BarSmall late night convenience store Hasty market - opposite few doors down from coffeeshop.
