Hotel was in a decent location and the rooms were clean and tidy. Good shower with clean towels. Friendly staff.Only let down was the chaotic breakfast. We ended up going out for breakfast everyday as there was nowhere to sit to eat, even at the earlier breakfast times there were so many people it was difficult to get around to find items, not much choice unless you want mainly sweet cakes etc and there were the most awful plastic cutlery and cardboard plates. People just sat around at the tables and leaving it untidy and dirty Just a horrible setting and experience. We went to the sunset grill every day instead, brilliant choice of food.
I booked in here as there was a good deal through a hotel booking website, although because I booked and paid that way, I am not sure they will add my stay to my loyalty points with IHG. I arrived a little early, about 2 pm. But fortunately there was a room ready for me. The receptionist was very warm and welcoming. He gave me some helpful information about the area and the hotel. I was also allowed a late check out, for which I was quite grateful as my plane was early evening. My room was on the 11th floor and from the window I could see the square outside the hotel. There were a few tents in the square indicating a local homeless population and when I left the hotel later, there was a man shooting up on some steps at the side of the hotel. I guess this could happen anywhere in downtown Toronto. There was also noise from sirens most evenings, again every hotel downtown will be similarly affected. Every morning, although I was on the 11th floor I was woken by cooking smells from the breakfast kitchen on the ground floor. This suggests that all the air is being circulated through the system that is used by the extractor in the bathroom and is definitely a design flaw in the hotel. My room had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron, safe and hairdryer. But no kettle, and unfortunately they did not provide them either. However there was a coffee station on the ground floor with hot water available and I could use the microwave to boil water for tea. There was a desk under the television but again, as with all the hotels I have stayed in in Canada, no dressing table and not particularly good lighting in the bathroom either. As well as the chair at the desk, there was also a very comfortable armchair with a small side table and footstool. There was also a guest laundry room on the 4th floor, with a single washer and dryer costing $2 each. My room included breakfast which was OK, a buffet with some hot food, I mostly had cereal and toast. They used compostable plastic cutlery but it was fairly ineffective in cutting up anything, not sure why they used this, nor why they used paper plates. I did have crispy bacon with pancakes and maple syrup one morning and it was good. There was also a fridge with yoghurts, cream cheese and small cartons of milk. Across the square from the hotel and through a walkway was the Metro supermarket. The streetcars 504 also ran from across the square so the location is very good. And it is two blocks from the Saint Lawrence Farmers Market which was excellent. The main asset of this hotel seems to be the staff who were all unfailingly helpful and pleasant.
Our 3-night stay was great! Clean room and bathroom (daily cleaning and towels change), highly comfy bed and linens (they simply hug you lol), heating, fridge. Ask for a high-floor room to have a great view, especially at night (we stayed on the 12th floor). Very friendly staff. Luggage storage after checkout. Above-average continental-style breakfast with a good variety. Great location, walking-distance to public transportation (street cars, buses and subway (metro)), stores, and restaurants (visit Cafe Oro di Napoli a few steps from the hotel). That was definitely the best choice
Great hotel!Extremely well located, this is a very good hotel!Since arrival until our last day, we were very well looked after!Hotel is clean, very good breakfast, the staff is amazing and all you can ask for a good holiday in the lovely Toronto city.We praise all the STAFF.Do not hesitate to choose this hotelsAlisha at check in was amazing, also Ravish, Ron and Uzair, really great staff.
During our recent stay, the hotel exceeded our expectations in accommodating our early arrival. Our flight landed at 6:00 AM (3:00 AM Alberta time), and although I had requested an early check-in, I hadn’t anticipated arriving by 7:00 AM. Despite this, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our tired family could rest promptly. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, providing the much-needed rest we sought. Their outstanding service and attention to our needs made our stay truly memorable.
I wish I could rate this hotel 10000 stars. From check in to check out it was amazing. Ravish the lovely front desk staff member is a star. We arrived early due to our transport from the US and were expecting to just store our bags until check in time but Ravish found us a room and got us checked in well before check in time. The staff are so friendly, free breakfast, guest laundry and Marley the robot are all stars. Facilities are perfect and well kept and our stay was very comfortable we had amazing views of the new years fireworks from our room
The prices in Toronto at the time we wanted to go were really expensive (due to Taylir Swift concerrt).I usually research hotels and do tend to stay away from the large chains. After my stay here, I am converted. The staff are incredible. So helpful and very friendly.Breakfast is free, it isnt all singing and dancing but was absolutely fine.Eggs and toast with bacon or sausage. Coffee is on demand and available to go at any time.Checkout is at 11am but our pickup wasnt until 1:30pm.We spoke to reception and they very kindly let us keep the room an extra 2 hours, which allowed us to rest ahead of the long journey home. This hotel is simply wonderful and I would fully recommend.
This hotel is in a good location, very walkable to lots of places. There's a great muffin place right across the street. Toronto is a city so you need to be more careful in some parts near the hotel. We were assigned a room on a lower floor. Perhaps it was unique to that floor but the room felt very dated and there was not enough lighting installed, so everything was very dark. Equipment in the gym was also dated but adequate, although the treadmill made a loud horrendous noise. Hopefully they got that fixed. Breakfast was solid. Overall an average stay in a good location.
A very good experience at this hotel.IHG status recognised on arrival and given a big room with a view on the top floor.Room was very clean as was the bathroom.Service friendly.Only things that could have been better is the water pressure in the shower was a little weak for our liking and also a bit more variety / change each day on the breakfast might have been interesting, however, that said breakfast was included and was plentiful and the quality was fine.Easy walking distance to the Market, Distillery District and Financial District.
We spent six days here while sightseeing around the city. Walked most places or used Lyft, street car or subway. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly & helpful and the breakfast was fantastic each morning. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Toronto.
