A charming and comfortable hotel right in the midst of old Quebec City . The location was close to wonderful restaurants and the tourist attractions .The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful suggesting restaurants and activities not to miss .Parking was convenient with the lot just minutes away .The picnic basket breakfast was handy . We would return to Le Vieux Hotel the next time we return to this lovely city.
Our stay in this cozy and centrally located hotel was amazing! We wanted to be in the old part of town, near the Chateau Frontenac. The hotel welcomed us with a great room with two Queen beds, a kitchenette area, and a spacious bathroom with a combined shower-tub with great water pressure. The beds were extra comfy, with lots of pillows! We opted for the breakfast basket every morning, greeting each day with fresh coffee, yogurt, sweet breads & croissants, and OJ. They hang it on your door at 6 am, ready for you to enjoy! The hotel is near lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, and activities. The staff is very attentive, and accommodating to all your needs, calling us a cab, or giving us ideas for restaurants to try.
We had a lovely 5 night stay! Our room was comfy and quiet, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Parking was reasonably priced and convenient. This was our third time here and we'll be back!Easy walking throughout the scenic old city, many nearby restaurants, pubs and shops.
Staff was very friendly and hotel was fantastic. I am an early riser so the 24 hour cappuccino/ espresso machine made exceptional drinks. Which i thoroughly enjoyed while sitting in the lounge/game room next to the fireplace. It's right in the center of town but it's very quiet inside. Will book here again. Thank you!
We spent 3 nights here during Carnaval. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. We booked late so didn’t have a big choice of rooms and ended up with 2 queen beds and a Murphy bed - I think it was intended as a family room. The room was big and beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good. The room included a continental breakfast which came in a wicker basket hung outside the door each morning. I recall during our previous stays that we were given some options on what to order but this time it was the same thing each morning, which was okay. Check in was quick and front desk staff were friendly any time we interacted with them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I would stay here again if visiting the city.
Clean, comfortable, centrally located. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern and hotel had a charm that fit the city well. We enjoyed the breakfast basket and espresso machine since we planned to have some lazy mornings on our getaway. It was the perfect location to walk to the markets, Le Petite Champlain, and the many shops and restaurants. We parked in the underground garage across the way and drove out to the falls and Ile d’Orleans. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location, wonderful staff and service. Loved the opportunity to wake up to breakfast-in-a-basket hanging on the door hook - so quaint and sweet. Relaxing lounge area to grab coffee or unwind at the end of the evening. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant but it looked great.
Wonderful stay in a cozy well equipped king deluxe room with fireplace! Lots of outlets for devices and storage for clothes. Coffee maker, fridge and teas/coffee made our stay even more comfortable. Staff were great especially Pierrot. Very clean and maid service was consistent on a daily basis. Filtered bottled water also appreciated. Lounge area is a welcoming space with special coffees, games and a warm fireplace. The adjacent restaurant Hortus has tasty fare. Great location as well. Definitely recommended.
Visited during Christmas Season. Hotel was very conveniently located and decorated for Christmas. Room was very nice, spacious and clean. Hotel staff was very professional and friendly. Gave us plenty of recommendations and called cabs when needed.
Lovely hotel with old world charm. Hotel is situated in town within walking distance of lots of restaurants, shopping, and especially at this time the Christmas markets. The picnic basket breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day. The staff was friendly and helpful.
